Meet Sam
We need less extremism and more leaders who do what’s right for North Texas. I’m running for Congress to work with anyone, Democrat or Republican, who will help create moderate solutions for all Americans.
I joined Teach For America after college. I taught math in one of Dallas’ most challenged high schools. When the pandemic hit, I never left my school. I was called to do more. I helped lead food distribution drives and made our school safe so in-person instruction could continue. I knew I needed to help more kids, so I earned my Master’s Degree in Education from Southern Methodist University and became the youngest principal in Dallas ISD. Our school strived to prepare students for the economy and world of tomorrow. In my first year, 98% of students graduated with their associate’s degree, and 100% were accepted to a 4-year university. All high schools should give students the option to earn their associate’s degree, enter the workforce with a credential in a high-paying field, or move on to college and beyond.
I decided to run for Congress because I turned on the TV one day and saw that my representative wanted to cut funding for the Department of Education. I dug deeper and discovered that her first vote in Congress was to overturn the 2020 election results. Even worse, she voted against the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which created thousands of new jobs and gave millions to DFW International Airport. She voted “no” on a bipartisan border security bill that would have strengthened our southern border. This was a Congresswoman who put extremism and her party above compromise for the sake of her constituents, and I knew she didn’t represent the values of North Texas.
In Congress, my goal will be to put people over politics. It is my priority to build stronger communities, which is why I support a $7,500 tax credit for teachers, first responders, and emergency workers. I will work with anyone to secure our border and crack down on the flow of illegal drugs into our communities and schools. I will tear down red tape and regulations for small businesses to allow our local main streets to flourish.
I am running for Congress to support bipartisan solutions and work with anyone, Republican or Democrat, to do what’s right for North Texas.
